The two major parities namely PPP and PML-N depended upon hereditary politics. There has been no concept of institution. When Bhutto was killed as a result of an international conspiracy, his political party suffered from a heavy setup. The leadership depended upon the personality of Bhutto. Using the name of Bhutto, his daughter came into power twice but being inexperienced in politics, two of her regimes resulted into heavy failures. PPP did not function on any concept of an institution, so no competent leadership was permitted to govern the party or the state. By the time, she gained the capability of governing the party and the state, an internal conspiracy in PPP caused her death. PPP is gradually diminishing as a political party. The feudal lords of interior Sindh supporting PPP may also switch over to other political parties to gain the ministries of the federal level.
PML-N also depended on family politics. No shape of an institution was given to it. The Shariff family lost its charisma gradually and PML-N is also headed towards a downfall. If PML-N had been given the status of a political institution, it would have survived as a strong political party. The electable leaders of PML-N will also switch over to other parties. PML-N will then remain qualified for the mayor-ship of Lahore only. That is the position that they may never lose because of their great contribution in the development of Lahore.
PTI must be given the shape of an political institution. Contribution of a political institution to the nation will be the greatest accomplishment of Imran Khan. PTI then may survive very well for the benefit of the forthcoming generations. Imran will then be regarded as a hero of the political history of Pakistan for such a great contribution.
